Case Study:  Uninformed Supervisors & Managers

Situation: A complex line of services required this organization to communicate and plan thoroughly. Employees were involved in multiple efforts and the directions they were receiving from management were confusing and quite often conflicted with other managers. Employee satisfaction, and thus customer satisfaction, was low. Surveys revealed low morale, lack of communication, and employees who wanted to achieve more in their careers but who were not being developed.

Solution: We gave fifty supervisors, managers and executives a 360o Management Assessment to indicate each person’s strengths and weaknesses. The assessments revealed not only what individual weak areas were, but also where the entire organization fell short in developing leaders. We then designed and conducted an organizational development program emphasizing communications, empowerment, goal setting, time management, coaching and dealing with stress and change.

Result: The organization became the lead management organization for worldwide customers two years after this project was completed.
